Summer Semester of 2021 Graduates

Future Plans:  Currently, Kily is working abroad in Japan. However, completing this program while living abroad has given her an opportunity to compare various countries’ healthcare/public health response systems from different angles.  This has broadened her view of the public health field and its importance, especially during a global pandemic. She plans to use the knowledge and experience she has gained to return to the United States to start her public health career. She will pursue a position at either MDHHS or MPHI, with the goal of working for the CDC or WHO in the future and specializing in global health. In addition, she also plans to further her education. After the completion of the MSU MPH program, she plans to pursue a doctoral degree in public health. She is looking forward to what the future holds.

Future Plans: Karly will continue in her position as a supervising & staff development educator for Michigan State University Extension following graduation. This MPH degree secures her position as an Educator. She supervises a team of community nutrition instructors delivering nutrition and physical activity education to low-income individuals and families around the state.

Future Plans: Having been a dual degree student (DVM/MPH), David plans to start his career in veterinary private practice (small animal) and work primarily there for a few years. His eventual goal is to work in veterinary public health.
