The governing body of the Council on Education for Public Health formally acted at its June 13-15, 2019 meeting to approve Michigan State University’s request to begin the accreditation process for the Master of Public Health program.

Dr. Debra Furr-Holden

Debra Furr-Holden joins the College of Human Medicine’s dean’s executive team as the associate dean for public health integration. An epidemiologist by training, her research aims to ameliorate behavioral health inequities.

Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) Program. It is a one-year leadership training on coaching, networking, and mentoring for senior women faculty.

2019 Vilcek Gold Award for Humanism in Healthcare

Mona Hanna-Attisha, Flint whistleblower, receives the inaugural Vilcek and Arnold P. Gold foundations Humanism in Healthcare Award for immigrant healthcare leaders. The award will be presented at the AAMC Annual Meeting in November 2019.
